Glow in Grace began with a simple realization: as a teacher, exhaustion and burnout are almost expected. The profession carries heavy responsibilities, long hours, and constant emotional investment. Like many educators, self care often took a back seat because there  was not the time, energy, or budget for things like spa days. Yet rest and restoration are essential.

Glow in Grace isn't a kitchen experiment.

Behind every batch is formal cosmetic science training. Founder Lakeya Maddox holds three Olay-authorized certifications in cosmetic science:

• Introduction to Cosmetic and Skincare Science
• Cosmetic Product Development
• Cosmetic Formulation Science

Together, these cover the science of how skincare actually works on skin, from ingredient interactions and stability, to formulation strategy, to product development from concept to shelf. The same foundations used by major cosmetic brands, applied here to small-batch, hand-crafted skincare made one bar at a time.

What that means for you: every Glow in Grace product is built on real chemistry, not guesswork. Premium butters chosen for what they actually do. Lighter textures formulated on purpose. I wanted to create something practical and meaningful. Artisan bathing products that transform everyday routines into intentional self care experiences. Something that would connect with my faith and remind people that grace isn't just something we receive, its something we can pour into ourselves too. Every bar is made with that in mind, a moment to slow down, breathe, and remember you're worthy of care.
